Found this plant growing through the fence.
I just love the curly bit on top! I don't know what it is either though...

It looks almost like squash or zucchini.

@beautifulthing I was thinking that, too! You can see the vegetable bit at the base of the flower. And you get to keep it if its your side of the fence, Kathy (at least, you could if it was in England!) :-)

Nope, just a beautiful dinner! Actually the flowers ARE very pretty, you can enjoy both! :-)

Looking like a squash blossom to me - and pointing it's finger at you! You actually will get the best of both worlds - a beautiful blossom and dinner on the table.

Nom nom nom!! Squashes is good. My neighbor always grows them every summer, that's the only reason I knew what it was. :)

Oh so lovely, Kathy! It's either a squash or pumpkin blossom. The flowers are edible too!

@tabbycat I don't mind a bit of zucchini pie.

You can eat the flowers too. Stuff with cheese and bacon then deep fry.

@mrgtrueman thanks for that- unfortunately half have been knocked off from all the rain and the other half have opened up into big flowers. Maybe I'll grab the next lot.
