That`s a great live. 22 hours doing nothing. I alway`s wonder who`s inventit we have to work 8 hours a day . Why not 7 or 6.

@happysnaps this is Legion, so it's a he :) Yes in order to relax the claws have to be well dug in lol
@pyrrhula it takes an enormous amount of energy for them to digest the tough eucalypt leaves, so they actually can't stay awake and need to sleep in order for the digestion to take place. what a life!

@gigiflower pretty much yes - find food, eat and fall asleep literally on the last mouthfuls. In the breeding season the male will only sleep 18 - 20 hours a day as he spends more time checking his territory, attempting to mate, and prevent other males coming into his area (he will stay in the tree below the female he has mated and sleep there to ensure another male can't come and mate her).

@koalagardens Even a lion ``works`` only 4 hours a day. The rest of the day he enjoy`s the sun.
