I liked the way Legion managed to look down at me. I apologise I'm very time poor just now, thank you for the many thoughtful comments on my photos. I am trying to catch up on all of yours.
Aw, what a great pose. Really lovely 👍👍

I like his furry face and ears!

Your detail is wonderful! I can see the texture of their fur is not what I imagined. Doesn’t look soft like cat or rabbit fur! That is quite the look 👀

They look so cute and cuddly! Will they bite if you get close to them?

@helstor thanks for asking :) koalas are not aggressive, but they are wild animals. they won't bite if you get close, actually a stranger is unlikely to get close to a wild koala that is healthy.
however, if you try to pick a wild koala up it will indeed bite, their teeth can go right through a human hand, and those claws will be in full use too.
That however is because we are pretty big scary giants and they would feel completely threatened, so would be defending themselves. It is very rare that you would get close enough to attempt to do this to a healthy koala. A sick koala however is often on the ground and may be approached, but will still try to defend themselves if you attempt to pick them up.
Probably a far longer answer than you asked for :)

@koalagardens Thank you. It is amazing what one can learn here on 365project ;-) It is so easy to forget that animals are wild when we are so used to seeing them. We had an incident with a swan here a few months back. It was very territorial and agressive and would attack if people came too close. It became a real problem when it started attacking young children and actually dragging them into the water. Luckily the swans in "our" lake are very friendly ;-)
