Quite an impressive storm last night, but Maxine was nearly all dried out as the sun rose ... nearly. Thank you for the awesome comments and questions on my photos.
@haskar her fur is wet as there was a big storm after dark. Their fur is incredibly water repellent and the water never soaks right through to the skin. It is one of the reasons their pelts were so desired, causing them to be killed in the millions and starting the terrible situation they are in today.
@jernst1779 they don't seek shelter at all - they take no notice of the weather, just curl into a ball while it rains :) I've been out there photographing them high in the trees eating business as usual while thunder and lightening boom about as storms hit (I have trees I can see from the shelter of my house).
