she is always waking me up by koalagardens

she is always waking me up

I love the tension in the thumb on his stretched out foot as he yawns :) Thank you for the awesome comments and questions on my photos here.
Smashing shot! I think your fingers must be tripping the light fantastic across the keyboard...an Oops moment, easily done. One koala, mentioned as she and he.

@s4sayer hahaha I think you maybe are confused? in the title 'she' is me doing the waking. then in the description text "his stretched out foot as he yawns" is two koala mentions as he :) honest I haven't edited since your comment, I think you read it from the light fantastic hehehe

Krissy looks good and healthy! If he ever loses his ear tag, I won’t recognize him. He’s still sleepy!

@vignouse marsupials have an interesting teeth setup - they do have lots of teeth, but have a large gap between the incisors and the molars, and don't have any canines.
this page has a good photo of a skull showing the setup - so in this photo of him yawning you can only see his canines. Their molars however are used to grind the leaves up as much as possible which is why they are quite fascinating to watch as they eat one single big tough leaf at a time :) http://www.nhc.ed.ac.uk/index.php?page=24.134.165.255.264

An interesting shot and interesting info re his teeth set up - but it makes sense as they only need to grab and cut up the leaves ( no canines as they are not meat eaters) and then the molars to grind the leaves ! Love the stretched out toes ! A good yawn and stretch there !

Super shot !!!

Yes the teeth or lack thereof , is amazing as I suppose they have to chew gum leaves so don't need incisors.

How relaxed can you be to yawn like this....great capture even though you woke him up!

Another stunner and wonderful lighting.

@fr1da they have really big incisors there at the front, and really big molars and premolars. but no canine teeth, just a big gap :)
