and now for something completely different

Suddenly Newman decided it was time to move and in a fluid motion he simply rose on his feet, reached above his head, grabbed the trunk and sprang up and away. There you go, a koala belly :)
Thank you for the awesome questions and comments on my photos, I try to be sure and answer every one. Always poke me if I miss one as it will be unintentional :)
Nice capture. I, too, am drawn to look up and wonder what is there.

@fbailey oh yes, it produces a thick, oily, musk substance - very smelly :) you can just see a nice little scent gland budding at the top of his chest :)

Not a view that you often see!! His nice markings accentuate his slim hips and strong shoulders.

Great pov and timing. I would never guess that it's a koala!

Full frontal! Is that v-shaped division of colour common on Koala’s or just an individual marking of Newman.

BRILLIANT...fav

Great catch

Great shot.

@gardencat thanks Joanne - that's totally typical marking to have that marked V. The only individual thing is the few small dots of brown in the white area - kind of like his own bit of uniqueness to the koala pattern :)

Fun pov
