The whole story - https://youtu.be/T77UHkIilCE
from drought to torrential rain and no near end in sight to the rain - we've broken the world I'm quite sure. for the six word story and other challenges - Angel stuffing herself with new growth in a not very lady-like moment.
@30pics4jackiesdiamond I created that video with the canon powershot :) I took some still photos between video shoots (that was a bout a half hour of watching her)
Koalas had no natural predators here, but now they are predated on by dogs (not native), foxes (not native), and cars of course.
She was being very attentive as a koala on the ground is at the most risk. Once upon a time they didn't need to get to the ground at all, but that was hundreds of years back ... :)
That is exactly what James Gleick said about equilibrium systems in 1987 in a book called Chaos: Making a New Science. If things push equilibrium systems (like our weather) too far to an extreme they will take on giant swings....hotter hots, drier dries, wetter wets, .... So this odd bad weather is all to be expected under the circumstances.....Unfortunately. I am very sorry that it seems to be hitting Australia so particularly hard.
A great video and a super use of selective colour here with lovely Angel ! - it has worked so well ! and such a fun shot as she stares in mid chewing her leaves , her big ears and wet fur giving her a wide eyed, and startled punk-like look ! fav
Wow! Thank you SO much for that video. How amazing to watch Angel in the wild. I learned things about Koalas that I did not know. And it is so cool to hear your Voice. Fav for the video and this adorable image of Angel.
Great video. Poor Angel does seem a a bit damp, but it doesn't seem to be bothering her much. What would be the predators or dangers she would be watching for?
That video was superb! My heart was in my mouth as I thought she was on the ground too long but, she climbed all of those trees, drenched & ate her breakfast & then gorgeous Angel is sleeping soundly. Big Fav
I loved the video - don't think I really had the idea that the trees were so tall until I watched her climbing down. It was amazing to watch her select today's breakfast and then go off to snooze.
@gardencat I find it interesting how they look intently, then go racing and bounding in one direction, then stop and look again!

Angel’s ears are a little spiky from the rain! She’s having some green leaves for breakfast! (Me talking to the video: “Up! Up! Get off the ground, missy!” Like she could hear me or understand what I’m asking her to do.)
Dies anything predate on koalas?? She was very sure to check her surroundings
