So nice to see Ash back, he does have a lovely face. Funny how seeing the photo result it looks like I just snapped a shot. In fact it took a lot of time moving carefully about until I could find a spot, quite some distance away where I could get a sighting through to his face. I have many photos with leaves obscuring most of him. All in a days fun on the sanctuary :)
@beryl yes, I had to move about a bit, off the quad trying to find a place where I could see through. so he was trying to watch me without looking directly at me 😆
It doesn't look like a snap shot at all. It looks like you have spent time composing and framing him up between the leaves and branches. Such a gorgeous photo
Sometimes those ‘simple, candid’ shots take a lot of patience and work and then, very occasionally, you just turn around and your subject is there, just posing for you. That’s when I usually realize That I’ve got the wrong lens for the job. 😃
Ash looks like he is about to impart some very important koala wisdom here- so not just a pretty face. Your persistence worked in your favor- it's a good shot of him!
@onewing since the drought-fires-torrential rains things have seriously changed in the colony and I haven't seen any of the females for months. I am left not knowing if they are nearby and fine or not. I know I lost one of the four I had here. Koalas are is serious trouble no matter how hard we work to save them.
well done
