This is my other favourite tree orchid that blooms early spring.
I've photographed this for the nifty fifty sooc challenge.
I'm happier with this one than the previous orchid for composition and DOF.
Any comments appreciated.
I wonder if you're itching to do a square crop that would have put more emphasis on that beautiful orchid, with the bokeh of the tree less defined as a tree ( does that make sense?)and the red flowers balancing the green of the tree?? Ahhh it's a nifty sooc shot, no crop allowed!! How tall is a tree orchid??
@30pics4jackiesdiamond I rarely do square, so no I just would open and look at the image and edit by feel hahaha
I think I said it wrong, the orchid isn't a tree, it is in a tree, so it wraps itself around the tree trunk about 1.5 - 2 m from the ground :)
You should have seen it two years ago a koala climbed in there, while I was walking past and sat posing with all those flowers spread below. not what one expects! The koala of course was named 'orchid' :)
