White faced honeyeater diving into the water. Sometimes there are a dozen birds, of several species, other times there's just a single bird.
Thank you for the lovely messages of support during this horrible time of fires - I try to be realistic but I've not uploaded photos of the horrible sights on the property. You can see enough of that anywhere else. I have found concentrating on this birdbath a wonderful way of feeling a little centred for at least a little bit of the time.
I was wondering if you were seeing any physical damage on your grounds and was hoping since I didn't see any that you were spared from it for a while. I'm so sorry to hear you've had some damage and hope that it is not too too devastating as some of the images I've seen elsewhere. It's comforting to know that one little birdbath can bring a little respite into a time of worry. I will continue to hold you in my prayers!
