I thought I would take this shot as I see that some people grow these overseas but they seem to grow them as shrubs or in pots. This is around 15 tall at it's very peak.
There are many varieties and some do only grow a few metres, in fact I have one that only grows around half a metre tall (it's name is Little John).
They also come in many shades of red, pink and even white.
If you look up the driveway, the furthest away patch of shade is where the bearded dragon laid her eggs.
If you read this far, thanks for being so interested and enjoying a bit of the garden beside the driveway that I look at from my bedroom window.
A beautiful view from your bedroom window -- Oops , I had to look up Callistemon before I realised it was Bottlebrush !! - something to learn every day !!!
Is this a Bottle Brush? Fantastic! Growing up in Los Angeles, out one point the City widened our street (making it safer) and redid sidewalks and the planted these trees in the sidewalks. Lovely and fantastic to see one so large!!!
@ludwigsdiana we don't grow them in pots here, but I see folk on 365 who live on the other side of the world, where winters are cold, grow them in pots as small shrubs and even bring them inside in the winter. so I thought it would be nice to show the whole tree.
I probably have around 1.5 acres of garden area - I need a drone to do a video flying around it all 😊
