never too much colour by koalagardens

never too much colour

The rainbow lorikeets have been having trouble deciding - drink the nectar from flowers still coming on, or crack open the seeds from winter flowers. Life should be so hard eh!
Lovely shot of this gorgeous and colourful bird. I would drink while the going is good, or do they always flower?

They're beautiful but numbers are increasing over here and I fear that it's to the detriment of our WA species.

@merrelyn as a huge advocate for the environment it can be difficult sometimes to explain to people that 'native' is not the whole story. just because any plant or animal is 'native' doesn't mean it should be moved to another area of the country. the issues you have over there now since they were introduced in 1960 is a prime example. mankind has so much potential to damage so quickly!
