Can you see both Tawnies? They look a bit like owls but are not raptors. This pair are forming a bond. As they court, they slowly end up sleeping closer and closer til they sleep together. Tawnie frogmouths mate for life, so this pairing up stage can take weeks. If they stay and have chicks the cuteness will be extreme!
Oh they do blend in very well. Don’t know if you play or have heard of wordle but I have to thank my acquaintance with you for helping me get today’s word. LOL
At first I didn't see them, then I saw one, and it took me a bit to find number 2 and even then I wasn't sure if I was seeing clearly! Great shot and nature lesson!
