Changing world by kork
Oh no... did this topple over into the water? @kork I just read your entire profile. My mother's Dad was from Hungary and my Mom grew up speaking Hungarian at home. Visiting Budapest is on my bucket list of travel destinations.

Beautiful shot but so sad to see these wonderful columns in the water.

You leave us wanting answers! That colomn doesn't look like it belongs in that that scene. I can't make out where it would have been standing...

The columns plunged into the water depict the silhouette of the main facade of the old National Theater. The old theater was demolished in 1965 in reference to the construction of the Metro. The new National Theater was handed over in 2002. In this way, a memorial to the old theater was erected in front of the building. @frantackaberry @diane5812 @mccarth1 @eudora @christinav @ludwigsdiana

Nice shot, perhaps it would have been better to take the photo from an angle that showed the new theatre building behind it.

@borof Thanks for the comment! In fact, I wanted to show the demolition and the new construction (tall house).
