Poor Katie Cat had a veterinary visit today. This is her on the vet's table with her grumpy / scared / please take care of me look. Weird how she senses vet visit days - it took us half an hour to find her in the house before I went (even before I took out her carrying case)!
She's been drinking way more water lately so the vet thinks it is likely diabetes, but we'll find out tomorrow for sure with blood test results. If so, then 2 insulin shots a day... Yuck!
Update: Yep, diabetes. Guess I'm going to learn to be an expert injection-giver... sigh.
This is a great portrait of Katie - it does seem like you've captured a lot of expressions all in one go. But so sad to hear about the possible diabetes. Poor little pumpkin.

She is such a cutie! I'm so sorry about the news :( my sister had the identical thing with her 13 yr old cat a few months ago and she said it gets easier to give the shots and that her cat seems so much happier now :) I hope Katie is doing well! Update if you have a chance :)
@kbalychev ~ Thanks Kimberly. Yep, sounds like Katie is on the same track as your sister's... she'll be 13 years in Feb. The injections aren't really that bad - she doesn't even flinch most of the time. Thank goodness! Got her checked yesterday and she's already right in the normal range with the starter insulin dose.
