No photo compilation of Guatemala would be complete without at least one shot of the iconic 'Chicken Buses'. Old school buses from the USA have been pimped up in all kinds of colourful décor and provide (often very crowded) affordable local travel between towns for people and goods.
How about that! It's interesting that it's called a "chicken" bus. The local chicken processing plant brought in many people from Guatemala to work there. They also ship out their chicks in school-like busses.
