Woodpeckers

A red-bellied woodpecker and a yellow-bellied sapsucker (thanks for putting me straight @mej2011) at the suet feeder today. I've never seen these two birds at the feeder at the same time before. The red-bellied is quite a shy bird.

Nice shot! You're right about Red Bellied being shy. I always thought the bird on the right was a type of Sapsucker.

Ooh! You are absolutely correct @mej2011 - it's a yellow-bellied sapsucker. My poor brain...!

It happens. Very early on in my project, I called a sparrow a wren. lol.

Thanks @dh! It's been unseasonably cold here and I've seen all kinds of desperate behavior at the bird feeder recently.
