Black Crowned Night Heron

While this heron is most active at night I saw a group of them feeding on small fish during the day. This one is on the move.

@momamo you asked how I got so close... true confessions here... this was taken in an aviary @ Brookgreen Gardens so I think the birds are very used to humans nearby.
