Tiger Swallowtail by kvphoto

Tiger Swallowtail

It has been so nice to have a blue sky day today after all the rain we've had. We had another visit to Smith Gilbert Gardens in Kennesaw, Georgia this morning. This is a cup flower and the bees and butterflies love them. Thanks for all of your comments on my refraction shots... most appreciated.
That is such a neat angle to catch the swallowtail - pretty

@milaniet Thanks Milanie… the flowers were about 12 feet high and there were two butterflies flitting around… made it very easy to angle up for a shot.

@monikozi Moni… you say the sweetest things and always make my day… thanks for that! You know… we have had two weeks of gray skies and rain and this blue sky was such a gift. The cup flowers were packed so tightly and were tall - about 12 feet they were so full of bees and then the two eastern tiger swallowtails were flitting about. I have one shot where I caught a bee flying right over the butterfly… butterfly is sharp but bee is not… must not have had a fast enough shutter. Anyway… I don’t often respond to my comments but I always read them and appreciate them so much… thanks!

These cup flowers were so tall and there were so many of them… it was so much fun to have so many bees and the two butterflies flitting around… funny thing… I planted two of these flowers not realizing they get so tall… it will be interesting to see how they do in my yard.
