“The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”
– Lao Tzu--I've been working hard and getting ready for my Grand Canyon backpacking trip... three days in a row I've hiked about 8 miles per day and I've loved every minute. Sunday I was at Redtop Mountain, Monday at Kennesaw Mountain, and today I hiked Pine Mountain.
@jgpittenger thanks Jane… I’ve been working so hard. February 25th-28th.
@wyomingsis thanks so much Sis… I feel better than I have in so many years… the hiking has been restorative.
@thewatersphotos thanks Gary… nothing like holding a mirrorless camera in front of you and clicking away… I think it worked pretty well… the 28mm lens helped too.
You are doing it right, the canyon is a task master for sure. If you get the chance, stop at the Kolb Brother's studio. Its at the top of the Bright Angel Trail. Also check out Shoshone Point. ( https://www.americansouthwest.net/arizona/grand_canyon/shoshone-point.html ). So worth it, no hoards of tourists.
