2012 07 14 Table for One

The sun came out for a while and I treated myself to a late lunch, before a not-so-brisk walk on the beach.

I've never done table for one, other than in McDonalds which doesn't really count. I managed to go to the cinema on my own a couple times... quite enjoyed that, but don't know that I am brave enough for a meal alone :)

@calx Chicken pie (which I have been lusting after since I first saw it on their menu) - believe me, there are few things to rival a TRUE South African chicken pie! And it's nothing like what you're picturing at the moment! LOL - I'll have to go back and order it again so that I can show you :) When I do go to the cinema (which isn't often) I far prefer to go on my own :) No interruptions! I suppose I'm a bit of a loner at heart :)

Nice table. like @calx I tend not to go it alone when eating. I do enjoy the cinema with friends but a few years ago I started going alone as part of a new year's goal. I would go to the cinema an hour or two before the movie, sit in the cafe and have a tea or, if I wanted, a beer and maybe something to eat. Read my book. Watch the film. It was a lovely me day:-) I recommend it.

@mcdermgl I agree, McD - a nice me couple of hours without rustling popcorn wrappers etc - had a lovely moment many years ago when I was the ONLY person in the whole movie house :) Unfortunately can't remember what the movie was! @calx
