2012 08 27 Bridge @ Harbour Island

After a very cold and wet weekend, the sun came out and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. Lunch at Harbour Island seemed to be the right thing to do. Especially as another cold front is due tomorrow.
Some bridge here, does it let quite large boats through, it looks quite a narrow chanel? I like the outline of your mountain behind.

Love split bridges! They're such cool engineering. Glad you got some nice weather - it's been miserable all weekend here. Typical bank holiday. ;)

I didn't even know this place existed. Very cool geometry!

@happypat No, Pat, it's to let the yachts and catamarans with tall masts get through to the other side of the marina. No large boats at all.

@okavangohippo You'll have to come visit, Okavango :) It's actually quite remarkable considering it's a man-made marina - I mean all the little islands are man-made. I wouldn't be able to begin to describe! :)

That's cool, but what I have learned most is that you each lunch out a lot ;)

@calx Yep :)) That's what being "retired" brings to the party :)
