2012 11 09 Spirit Level

Today I had to play the role of "handlanger" (a lovely Afrikaans word for what basically amounts to a gofer or "an unskilled assistant to a tradesman"). My partner spent a good few hours trying to stabilise the bamboo fence in our garden, which has taken a pounding in this week's wind.
Is your level on the level? Fun pic.

You have a good background for this picture! I too have been a handlanger many times!

Very cool close up, in our house it works the other way round with my hubby being the handlanger!

Love the bokeh in this. I'm always the handlanger, but I prefer to call it, 'director'. ;)

Very cool idea! A friend recently gave me - with much flourish and fanfare - his idea of a joke: a picture frame into which he'd set a tiny spirit level. So, yes, I have OCD issues and like things neat and straight! We laughed a lot, but I think he should patent the idea!

Known as the "lacky" here :)

@salza I would prefer it the other way round, Sally, but then normally get told I don't know what I'm doing, only for it all to be done "my way" in the end :) Men!

@humphreyhippo I'll work on the directorship, HH! Hah!

@okavangohippo I'll be first in line for one of those. It drives me insane seeing skew paintings, pictures AND horizons!

@mikehamm Thanks, Mike. :) Level on the level in all sorts of ways :) However, there is another South African saying .... level on the grevvel (or gravel) .. unfortunately you have to be a Saffa to hear the accent :)

I like this one, did you get paid for the job at least?
