Table Setting

Sorry I've been rather absent the last few days..we were away for Thanksgiving and didn't get home until late tonight. This was taken Sunday before 20 people surrounded the table for a delicious turkey and ham dinner.

This is wonderful. It reminds me of the fabulous Christmases we had when I was young. My dad was the youngest of 10 and all the families got together at our grandparents farm for Christmas. By the end there were 4 rooms to ensure everyone got a seat. The food was great, the laughter infectious. As children we got a lot of extra attention. I don't know how the women managed it. There was only a black lead stove and oil lamps. There was no running water, everything was pumped up ( I loved that ice cold water)
