Together Again

Yesterday's eagle flew here to reunite with his/her buddy.

Taken in Campbell River, BC, Canada. I live half way up Vancouver Island on the east side of the island.

I'm wondering where you are to see orca's as well as these magnificent birds! They don't look so big here but would be further away than yesterday's shot which was super!

@maggiemae I'm on Vancouver Island. I just added my location to the description since people are always asking. These eagles are on the smaller side compared to many that I see. I think it must be mating season soon because January/February I see lots.

@happypat The eagles love the ocean for their fish. The other day I watched an eagle trying to take a salmon from the mouth of a huge sea lion. I wish I could have gotten a photo of that. It was incredible as the sea lion was thrashing around with the salmon in its mouth while the eagle and several seagulls were swooping down.
