The tide was high and the waves were big so I took the camera, tripod and my ND Filter to the beach hoping for a fabulous slow motion wave shot. Well... the pictures were crap! So I turned up the shutter speed and put the camera low and shot blind. I never got the camera wet but a big wave did surprise me and fill my boots!! Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!
Waaw !! a instant fav , a tremendous pov --and a great capture of the crashing waves -- makes me want to step back out of its way which by the sound of things you didn't quite make it !! Fav , fav, fav , !!!!
A wonderful shot! I think the same way..take my planned shots and then just let go with crazy ideas..which usually are better! When I go to the beach I usually take the old camera and a clear plastic baggie to cover it except for the lens opening...because I like to get down low and close also.
Great splash! Be careful with that camera though or the next time it might be more than your boots getting wet! Like Louise I love the little creature who's popped up out of the wave on the left side!
You can add another count to the fav list..
One of the best I have seen so far
