Very intense! Did you have to evacuate after the tsunami warning last night? Glad it came to nothing - but yikes... scary stuff!
posted January 24th, 2018
@northy @hrs @happypat I slept through the whole earthquake/tsunami incident. Luckily we are on the East side of Vancouver so we were not in danger. Our risk of tsunamis is relatively low given our position.

Fabulous light!
posted January 25th, 2018
I was surprised by the number of logs lining the beach in your photos. It is obvious they were cut by saws. Are they remnants of a logging company somewhere?
posted January 26th, 2018
@skipt07 Forestry is a big industry here and there's often log booms being barged up and down the coast. Sometimes the wood comes loose and ends up on the beach.
posted January 26th, 2018
@kwind - I thought that might be the reason but wondered if there was another.

how do you like shooting with the D810. any thoughts of getting a D850? I have a D500 & a D800
posted February 10th, 2018
@jml0306 I like my D810. I've had it about a year now I think so it's too soon to switch up to the D850. At purchase time I couldn't decide between D750 and D810. I had the D800 but the shutter screwed up and I need a new one.
