Canals of St. Petersburg

Our second day in St. Petersburg started with a one hour boat tour through the city. We were shocked by all the canals and beautiful buildings and bridges. It was exactly a month ago today we were there - crazy how time flies!

Things have really changed since the wall fell in 89. What little we saw of the East Block countries in the early 90s was very gray and drab. This is stunning.
