A Hillside Cotswold Farm. by ladymagpie

A Hillside Cotswold Farm.

Just along the road from my home is this typical old hillside farm. The farm was part of the Stanley Estate with a large Gothic mansion next door and on the other side of the mansion is the Austrian styled church.

The farm house and it's building are built of the local Cotswold stone and the walls are known as dried stone walls built with no mortar, the ones in the photographs have had cement put along the top in recent years. The history of the families that have farmed here is incredible..

@libertylady Thank you Alice, I have been quite I'll this year, in and out of hospital, so my geocaching has been curtailed. Found the 365project and have enjoyed every minute of it. Have reciprocated the following.
