Another one of my captures from the edge of the Cotswolds Hills. I'm actually on the Iron Age Hill Fort above the village of Uley. The fort dates from around 300 BC and stands over 750 feet above sea level with extensive views over the Severn Vale.
If you look closely at the river your notice it bends on the right, this is at the start of a large horse-shoe, and when you look at a map of England your see this horse-shoe clearly on the map. In the distance is the Forest of Dean and onward into Wales. All this just 2 miles from home.
Highly recommended to view this with the magnify button above the pic.
What a picturesque and peaceful scene. The purple and blues of the skies and clouds are perfect with the valley and hills below and the greens in the foreground. A fav!
