Magpie's on the Pot. by ladymagpie

Magpie's on the Pot.

A really miserable day today but I manged to see one of my Magpie family outside, but unfortunately it's gone to pot.

Waiting by my front gate for a friend to arrive, she didn't know where I lived so I stood outside to wave her in, I spotted this magpie on the chimney pot on the roof of the cottage opposite. Couldn't resist grabbing my camera and I'll name it Marian after my friend.

What a stunning treatment of this magpie (Lady Magpie!) Thanks for the follow and I'm following back and looking forward to seeing your shots. I note you live in the area of Slad - Laurie Lee country - I always loved reading Cider with Rosie. I taught English GCSE retake students for a while and introduced them to what I considered to be a beautiful book - it went down like a ton of hot bricks!!

Thanks Hazel for your comments and for following. I do live about 2 miles from Slad and everywhere around here is beautiful. Cider with Rosie is a bit like Marmite, you either love it or hate it. Did you read my link to my blog.
