I may be Old, Broken, and Singed, but I'm still living.

This almost some's up my own life as I'm now old, the body has been bashed and abused over the years. Several hospital operations throughout my life means that I have lost a few bits and pieces along the way, just like this tree.

This is a 400 year old ancient oak tree that lies along a country lane, it has so much character that you just have to stop and look closely at it. A large part of the trunk has been ripped off in past gales, and another part has been burnt by lightening. It is hollow and very gnarled but I just love it especially as it continues to live it's long life, just think of the things it's seen.

I first found it when I was out geocache, someone had hidden a cache in it's roots, but I still like to visit it now and then and give it a hug..
