I had to get up very early this morning to drive into the city of Gloucester to pick up my Brother-in-Law who had taking his car in for repair. I then had to do the reverse journey this afternoon so that he could pick it up again. I'm whacked so had to take a quick birdie picture.
This Goldfinch was happy when he found there wasn't much seed in the feeder and he certainly was letting us know all about it. I must admit that this is a very pretty bird and I love to watch them along with the sparrows. No Magpies though.
Lovely shot and a Fav. Our goldfinches seem to have disappeared along with the rest of the birds in our garden at the moment. It's very quiet compared to how it usually is but I think that it's because they've got so much food in the fields and hedgerows
