Before the Winter storms blow in from the west I set out on my latest safari into the deepest undergrowth of the local park. I armed myself with my camouflage hat, the camera and vital supplies of cheese curls, just in case I had problems finding my way back into civilization.
Rounding the rubbish bins I became aware of activity by a nearby tree, I knew that it would be difficult to capture the wildlife acting normally but as I drew closer I spotted these two creatures saying their prays before having a meal. It was fascinating watching them scratching around and eating, and I also became hungry.
Reaching for my supply of cheese curls, I carefully opened the bag but didn't realise how crunchy they were, one bite and the noise vibrated around the undergrowth and the little creatures were gone in a flash. I finished off my meal and slumped away back round the rubbish bin where I squirreled away the empty bag that had caused so many problems.
Two lovely little creatures engrossed in their dinner until you rudely frightened them with the din of yours. But you cleverly got the shot before you started snacking! Well done.
Delightful capture! Next time share your cheese curls (whatever they are!) with the poor squirrels :) Love Phil's response too. Fav for the giggle I got this morning :)
You need to find the kind that look like big orange soft caterpillars - they just melt in your mouth if you don't want to crunch them!
These two little guys are so sweet. Nice shot.
