Reading Between the Lines by ladymagpie

Reading Between the Lines

Well lets look at another saying today and that is "Reading between the lines". After listening to what someone said, if you read between the lines, you can begin to see what that person really means.

As for my picture, this was taken on another walk yesterday and I had to cross a very busy, fast railway line. I find these countryside crossing very nerve wracking, I do of course look either way but then start worrying that I might trip or jam my foot between the rails and wooden planks. So pleased to have get to the other side but know I have to return.

Thank you for all your comments, I'm working on a live football match and will get to your pictures later. Best viewed with the black background if you have time.

It's absolutely wonderful with the black background.

Great leading lines, lovely commentary. 'Tripping' is always on my mind too, especially as I fell flat on my face the other day. (Uneven paving slab)

Very 3D on black. You are brave/daft? to cross a busy railway line TWICE! Glad you have lived to photograph another day, but really...is 365 worth that? I preferred the photograph taken on the bridge.

@woofandweft1 Don't worry it was a public footpath although it was nervy

Great POV

This is a very great pov (but a bit scary - let's be careful out there!)

You are so lucky to survive this tremendous feat. Last time I took a track picture, there was a mound of memorial flowers for the last person who dared do such a thing (well, perhaps not taking photos). A bit intimidating but we do what we need to do for the shot.

Yes careful, I have witnessed a great Surveyor friends demise to a twin track, One coming one way one another as we worked..our company was to blame as we usually had a rep from the company with us, we were sent out on a Sunday just to get a few more shots..I will never forget that day and still cringe when I cross a track!! Great saying and capture though and sorry for the gruesome story!!

I find myself looking both ways, before I cross, at the mid point, and sometimes, when I have finished crossing.
