Although a bit breezy, it was down to my favourite place in the valleys under a lovely sunshine, fortunately down in this gully the wind seems to go over the top and you are sheltered. There used to be a very old mill here that ran off the water but this has since been pulled down but you can still make out many of the old stones from the walls of the mill and the mill race.
I love it here, so close to the noisy world but the water and the birds drown every other sound out. I have mentioned before that I have seen many different rare birds and the odd deer, what more could you want "Down by the Riverside".

A very lovely capture and I can't believe the title - my Duck River is in my old neighborhood which is (wait for it....) Riverside! And now I'm going over to enjoy the song!
@365projectorgrobin It is nice what their doing along this stretch of old waterway. It will be good when more of it is done.I had to crop my picture as a man was busy on the stones there having a bbq
