I've been kept indoors today due to the weather which has been pretty bad. Rained on and off constantly and we are not talking showers. For that reason I am using another floral picture I took yesterday in my friends lovely garden.
We have seen the bluebells in abundance this year, but how many red bells have you seen. This is quite a rare flower called "Heuchera", and does come in various colours. Before the flower stems break into life the leaves are very full and looks very similar to rhubarb. I kept pulling my friends leg about her growing rhubarb in the flower borders followed by, "We'll be alright for pies this year". View with the dark surround if you can.
Thank you so much for all you comments on my Petunias yesterday, I will repeat one comment that it looked much better than a lonely one in an onion patch. I do the jokes you know !!
I have never seen red bells like these before Heather. We have white bells but not red. Looks like they are a later flowering plant than the proper bluebell.
Oh dear - I'm stressing about what to write about your red bells. I've started singing the bells of St Clements, but don't think you'll like that! Then there is the Three Bells - but there's more than three! And of course I could sing Jingle bells - but really it's not Christmas yet. So really I think I'll just have to go and look for that petunia in the onion patch instead :)
