This is a picture taken near the church in my recent photographs. It's a very quiet spot in the heart of the village with just a few cottages arranged around the church, which in this view is just behind my back.
These are very old farm cottages standing in front of the village green. It looks as if there were originally 3 cottages looking at the chimneys and the window formations, I would suggest that the center one was carved up between the other two. There is a village school next door and you could hear the children in the playground during the lunch break. A real countryside village at it's best.

that is so pretty Heather. You mean each house only had 1 fireplace and that would have been in the kitchen? Did they not have more for warmth?
