I've been hold up at home for a few days as my right leg decided that it didn't want to work properly, in fact it got so bad by Friday evening I was trying to get around my bungalow by holding on to anything that would support me. A one legged Magpie in fact, a rare breed.
During this time I sat on the settee and kept a careful eye on my bird feeders and was surprised the different birds that called in. I was taking pictures through two panes of glass, a door into my front porch and a window in the porch.
This was one of the best visitors, a Great Spotted Woodpecker feeding on the suet bits, and it has been coming in and out through the day. A very pretty bird and interesting to watch.
