It's that time of year when you often suddenly notice a large spider scurrying across the floor and diving under a piece of furniture.
It was late in the evening when I saw a very large spider run from out of a cupboard and dive under the settee. I was sat in my chair with my feet up, I didn't want to lower my chair and ran around the room with my eyes glued to the floor.
I was just locking up before going to bed when I spotted this beauty on the top rail of the porch door, which I had just been through twice. I took a good gasp of air and grabbed my camera and a tumbler, successfully capturing it, although it only just fitted the tumbler..
With a coaster holding it in I managed to get out of the back door and released it in the back yard. A friend of mine would have splattered it, but I can't kill anything, remembering the saying from my youth:
If you want to live and thrive.
Let the spiders run alive.
My good deed for that day and a good tick from God.
That sound you heard at 7:45 pm US Central time was me, screaming...now I have to walk around the house and do a spider check....if I find anything,everyone will know...
