Kermit and Miss Piggy, have just heard the news
Lock-down is reducing, what fun will they choose
They joined together in the sun, to have a little chat
Kermit tries some yoga, Miss Piggy wears her flowery hat.
-
Children starting back to school, their uniforms are smart
They must remember the distance rule, keeping well apart
Teachers will be working hard, moving desks around
Hoping that the kiddies, will be keeping safe and sound
-
Outdoor markets, car showrooms, will open up their doors
People can meet their friends, in local parks or moors
Let’s just hope the rules don’t slip. Causing more illness
Or lock-down will be back again, we don’t need all that stress
-
So let’s enjoy these open fields, the children run and play
Watching all the farmers out, harvesting wheat or hay
Barbecues are now allowed, with friends, where you can talk
But don’t forget a new rule here; they bring THEIR knife and fork.
Great poem ....all sounds too good to be true in your rhyming world..Let’s hope we don’t go backwards...hopefully most people will won’t go hell for leather for freedom! You tell that Kermit & Miss Piggy to take care!
