It's a lazy day for me today with Cricket, Football and Formula 1 Motor racing on TV. At least it gives me time to look outside to my bird feeders and see who is calling in today, all from the comfort of my settee.
It's a starling, the plague of my life, nice birds and I don't mind a single one coming in for a feed, the problem is when you get a flock of them trying to take over and chasing all the other breeds away.
On the left you can just make out a sparrow being frightened off and fortunately this was a lone starling so was happy for it to be there. It's also a case that they don't stay long as they seem to have a problem holding onto the outer cage.

Yes it’s the group swoop that’s annoying! We are just watching the highlights of the Grand Prix now. I know what happens so told Harry not to stop watching near the end bit! Starlings look beautiful with the sun on them but I don’t like their faces!
