Let's have a break from my tour of the valleys and have a look at these beautiful flowers. It may well be into October and Autumn is rolling in, colder nights and not many really warm days.
My Kaffir Lilly seems to be really enjoying this season and has just burst into flower everywhere. You know I love sitting on my little patio watching the world go by and for some reason I can't take my eyes off it.
It might be that I am waiting for insecs to appear on it, but I think they are already wrapped up in the pyjamas and snug as a bug somewhere much warmer and comfortable. Wish I could do the same but I can't see me relaxing in Jamaica in my old age.
For all you expert gardeners this is actually called "Hesperantha Coccinea Pink (Schizostylis)" or Gorgeous to me.
Such a little beauty - I have lost my pink Kaffir lily , and my red one - I chopped off the red one's flowers by mistake !! I hope it will forgive me by next year !!
