With the horrendous weather today I've had to dive into my archives of photographs taken in the past. Yes I took this but it was not planned, but firstly I better explain that we call people that don't take part in geocaching as muggles, and you mustn't ever let them know what you are doing. This can cause some interesting situations you get into, this is just one of them'
On this occasion I had just nabbed a cache at the back of a churchyard in Eastington, it was on a footbridge over a stream in the countryside, and I was making my way back to my car. Coming around the side of the church I was confronted with a wedding party, all milling around for the photo shoot and somehow I had to get through this cheerful crowd.
Taking out my trusty camera I started shooting the happy couple, side walking like a crab through all these muggles until I was stopped in my tracks as someone took my arm and said, "Oh doesn't Jenny and Tom look beautiful". Who the hell were Jenny and Tom I thought but replied, "Love Jenny's dress, I never look like that good in white", well not geocaching in the countryside I said under my breath. I was trapped in conversation with the lady as she asked if she could have a copy of the couple and that she would give me her address at the reception dinner.
I think I got away with that one, and I was wearing a hat for the wedding, well Lady-Magpies famous geocaching hat. If you want to read my other mad stories then go to my Blog page and scroll through some:
Well, this does give the wedding photography a different dimension, really, with that tomb in the foreground :D I love your sense of humour. When I grow up, I want to be a Magpie. (For Lady-ing is not my thing)
Thanks for the link, so interesting.
