I have been to thousands of places on my walks over the years, but this has to be one of my favourite places to walk. Surprisingly it is very close to a busy bypass and on the edge of the main town of Stroud in my area.
Regardless of the traffic going by, it's in a dip and you can't hear a thing, other than the wildlife and the water. You can watch dippers hopping around on stones sticking out of the river before dipping into the river for vertebrates.
I have also spotted a small deer among the trees, a Muntjac, but it didn't hang around once it spotted me. I could sit here for hours and watch the world go by.
Isn’t that wonderful to find this hidden place among the bustle & hurry of the world. Nature always finds a place…..your very own oasis…just need a bench Heather!
