The Worm has Turned by ladymagpie

The Worm has Turned

I can see you all squirming at looking at this picture; just remember that everything can be captured. As some of you may know I've been stuck indoors for some time due to my right knee not working as it should, so my recent captures have been from my archives.

I went to my garage in the back yard to get the rubbish bins ready for tomorrow’s collection. Just outside the garage door I spotted this worm, which remind me of the phrase, "The Worm has turned", and I thought what exactly does that mean

It's used to describe when a person or group of people who have been treated badly for a long time suddenly become forceful and stop accepting a difficult situation. I must admit It hasn't happen to me but know some that the phrase can be used. Here is a question for you, did the worm turn right or left, in other words, which end is the head and which is the tale?

Keep smiling
What a conundrum? Head or tail does it matter as long as it can turn?

The head, mouth opening is at the bottom left of this image.

@denful Haha, yes it does. The food goes in the front end and the remains exit the other end !

The answer to your question is: Yes!
As for the phrase, I have never heard it and it is very interesting information. Something like the table has turned - which is used when the oppressor becomes the oppressed.
I think in the current times, the worm should turn... but i think it is too busy 'worming' around

Lol, this is almost as good as the pile of manure....which is still one of my all time fave of yours. Love your curiosity. :)

I think going by the way the worm has gathered itself up ready for moving along I reckon the head is in the bottom left.

@yoland You have obviously got my sense of humour or your brain works the same way as mine Yoland.

You've probably noticed my tongue is rough. I try to read your stories without the help of a dictionary but I fell on this text. I had to google everything.
