This is one of my favourite captures but also became such hard work to get back to my car afterwards. I had of course been out geocaching and found the container in a tree just behind me on the left. My route home was on a footpath across this field, which came out by that pretty single tree right in front of me.
Unfortunately the farmer used this public footpath to drive his tractor up in the same direction. The first few yards up to that wall went well, but after that the mud was horrendous and I was getting slower and slower with every step.
By the time I reach the main road on the other side of the field, I was several inches taller with the amount of mud on my boots. They were so heavy that I could hardly lift my feet up and then had to climb over a stile. I bet any cars travelling along the road would have had a good laugh at me trying to lift my legs over the top rail.
Lovely shot, that tree at the end of the path really draws your eye to it. That’s an interesting technique to grow a few inches, LOL. Always a great narrative.
You paint a funny picture Heather! I thought at first you had made that mess driving your car along there. I must say I’m not impressed with the farmer making such a mess anyway!
