The holidays are the time for the traditional holiday breads and pastries.
This one is a cougnou, or baby Jezus bread. I's a kind of brioche, usually the shape of a baby, and you can get it plain, with sugar crystals, with chocolate chips or with raisins. And it's traditionally served with a sugar baby Jesus on top.

The bakery only has them between St. Nicholas and Epiphany, so less than a month.
