A windy day today, so safe for Jasper and I to go back to the flood basins at Montesquieu, where mosquitoes can be a problem in summer. I liked the colours in this shot, but could not work out the best way to crop it. My camera is set for 4x3 and often I crop landscapes to 16x9. Tried many variations, but this is what came out of the camera, uncropped.
I have that problem with most landscapes. This is a very scenic spot, but I almost feel like I'm looking at 2 different pictures--the road bordered by the lone gold tree, and then the mountains with the multiple layers of grasses, hedge, mountains, sky.
