Les Caranques is a place where the la Roca river falls across some large boulders into a pool. Here there is a diversion of some of the water into an irrigation canal that supplies all the village gardens with water. I went there this evening in the hope of doing some long exposure shots, but at 9pm, just as the light was getting interesting, I got called away. It will still be there tomorrow.
I had forgotten that this is a common practice in the Pyrenees - I have seen these little irrigation channels extend over several kilometres. At 4 seconds, you got a (reasonably) long exposure anyway.
